Ipswich have agreed a £10million fee with Celtic for Daizen Maeda, according to a report.

The Japanese forward is expected to leave Glasgow this summer after reiterating his desire to play in the English Premier League.

Maeda played a crucial role in helping the club win a Premiership and Scottish Cup double by scoring nine goals in the final seven matches.

The 28-year old also scored for Japan at the World Cup against Sweden.

The Daily Record say Ipswich have agreed an initial £8million deal to buy the versatile striker with add-ons potentially taking the fee to £10million.

Maeda joined Celtic under Ange Postecoglou in 2022 and has helped the club to five league titles, three Scottish Cups and two League Cups.

His overall goal tally stands at 79 goals in 212 matches.
