Hamilton lose appeal against points deduction
Hamilton will be playing in League One next season after losing their appeal against their points deduction.
The club were docked 15 points after being charged with four offences.
According to the SPFL, the offences relate a failure to pay players and not acting in "good faith" when dealing with the league body about the removal of a transfer ban.
The club were also charged with giving incorrect information to the league about the ownership of the club's stadium, not submitting their membership criteria for the season in time and failing to meet the required standard of licence to participate in the league.
John Rankin's side were seven points clear of bottom side Airdrieonians before the points deduction.
The failed appeal now means their relegation is confirmed.
It comes on the same day the club revealed they will be moving from their New Douglas Park home.
Their home matches next season are set to take place at Broadwood Stadium.
