Derek McInnes appointed Rangers manager
Derek McInnes has been appointed as the new manager of Rangers.
The Hearts boss has replaced Danny Rohl following the German's departure to RB Salzburg earlier today.
McInnes will be joined at Ibrox by coaches Alan Archibald and Paul Sheerin.
The 54-year old came within minutes of lifting the Premiership title with the Jambos last season but was pipped by Celtic on the final day.
Former midfielder McInnes played for Rangers for five years, making 52 appearances.
His management career started in 2007 with St Johnstone where he led the Perth club to promotion to the Premiership.
A move to Bristol City followed before McInnes took over at Aberdeen where he would spend eight years.
The highlight of his spell at Pittodrie was lifting the League Cup along with finishing second in the top flight four times.
He also won promotion from the Scottish Championship with Kilmarnock before leading them into Europe.
The ex-Scotland international won SFWA and PFA Manager of the Year for his spell at Hearts last campaign.
