Dan Purdy to step down as Rangers technical director
Last updated 11th Sep 2026
Rangers technical director Dan Purdy is stepping down from his role at the club.
The 32-year old joined the club last summer and has overseen three busy transfer windows.
Purdy has been part of a recruitment team that has signed 30 players in the last year, with three managers also at the helm during that period.
He was brought in to replace Nils Koppen, who is now director of recruitment at West Ham United.
The Ibrox side will now assess their structure moving forward.
Performance director Stig Inge Bjornebye will continue to play a key role as the club work on their preparations for the January transfer window.
A club statement read: "We can confirm today that Dan Purdy will step down from his position as Technical Director.
"Dan will continue to work with the club’s ownership group, supporting the transition and other football projects.
"The Board would like to thank Dan for his commitment and contribution during his time at Rangers and wishes him every success for the future."
