Celtic have missed out on bringing Kelechi Iheanacho to the club with the striker opting to move to Turkey.
Martin O’Neill was keen to bring the Nigerian back to Parkhead after he scored some crucial goals last season.
The club let an option to extend his contract by a year run out which left them competing with other teams.
Iheanacho has rejected an offer to return to Celtic and has instead opted to move to Turkish second division side Bursaspor.
The 29-year old moved to Glasgow last summer and scored nine times, including big winners against Hibernian and Motherwell.
He also scored twice in extra-time in the Scottish Cup semi-final against St Mirren to help towards their double success.
