Celtic have lost their appeal against the red card given to Auston Trusty in their 2-1 defeat to Hibs last weekend.

Trusty was sent off by referee Matthew McDiarmid for violent conduct.

The official initially did not give a card but was sent to the VAR monitor after images showed the American striking opposition player Jamie McGrath.

The defender will now serve a three match ban and miss this weekend’s Old Firm game at Ibrox.
