Woman found dead in car in Possilpark

Police have launched an investigation after a woman was found dead in a car in Possilpark.

Officers were called to Sunnylaw Street at around 11:15pm on Wednesday, June 25, 2026, to reports that a woman was unresponsive in a parked car.

Emergency services attended and a 50-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are treating the death as unexplained, and an investigation is ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.15pm on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, we received a report of an unresponsive woman in a vehicle on Sunnylaw Street in Glasgow.

“Emergency services attended however the 50-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin is aware.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
