Man murdered in 'deliberately targeted' street attack in Tollcross

A murder inquiry has been launched after a 61-year-old man was "deliberately targeted" during an incident in Tollcross in Glasgow.
Police say James Greenhorn died after a disturbance in Dalness Close On Monday 9th February at around lunchtime.
They found him dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made but officers are following a “definite line of enquiry”.
Detective Chief Inspector David Lamont said: “Around 12.25pm on Monday, February 9, 2026, we were called to Dalness Close in Tollcross, Glasgow, following a report of a disturbance on the street.
“James Greenhorn, 61, from the Tollcross area, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family is aware. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
“We believe that Mr Greenhorn was deliberately targeted. His death is being treated as murder.
“Our investigation is ongoing and we are following a definite line of enquiry.
“Additional patrols are in the area and anyone with concerns or information can speak to any of our officers.”
