Teenager in hospital after incident on electric bike in Barrhead

A 15-year-old boy is in hospital after he was seriously injured in an incident involving an electric bike in Barrhead last night.
He was discovered hurt on Aurs Drive, around 10.55pm and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where his condition is described as serious.
Aurs Drive, Barrhead, remains closed between the junctions of Arthurlie Street and Kelvin Drive and drivers are asked to avoid the area.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers are appealing for information.
Detective Inspector Ross Jamieson said: “Officers remain at the scene while we work to establish exactly what has happened.
“I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time and who may have information which could assist us to get in touch.
“I would also appeal to anyone with dash-cam footage or private CCTV to contact us.”
