Teenager dies in motorcycle crash in Aberdeenshire
The 17-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene - no other vehicle was involved

A 17-year-old male has died following a motorcycle crash on the B9031 road in Aberdeenshire.
It happened at 5.30pm on Monday, 24th August 2026, on the route between Macduff and Fraserburgh, west of the junction for Pennan.
It involved a black Honda CB500 motorcycle ridden by the deceased teenager.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No other vehicles were part of the crash, and nobody else was hurt.
The road remained closed for around six hours to facilitate an investigation and has since reopened.
Sergeant Peter Henderson of the North East Road Policing Unit stated, "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the young male who died in this incident."
He further mentioned that inquiries are ongoing to determine the complete circumstances surrounding the crash and urged anyone who may have witnessed anything noteworthy to come forward.
“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam footage from the area.”
