A six year old girl has died and another child was taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Paisley on Saturday evening.
Emergency services were called to Johnston Street at around 5.30pm on 25 April, where the young child was pronounced dead at the scene.
A seven year old girl was taken to hospital.
Police are appealing for information as investigations continue.

Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “Around 5.30pm on Saturday April 25, 2026, police received a report of two children being struck by a car on Johnston Street, Paisley.
“Emergency services attended and a six-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
“A seven-year-old girl was taken to hospital for treatment.
“Inquiries remain ongoing and our thoughts are with the family of the girl who died.
“They ask that their privacy is respected at this time.”
Any witnesses are asked to call police on 101, quoting reference 2786 of 25 April.
