Seventh arrest after Celtic v Rangers Premiere Sports Cup final disorder

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged following what police describe as 'large scale disorder' in the city centre of Glasgow

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the "large-scale" chaos that erupted in Glasgow city centre on Sunday, 15 December 2024.

The disorder happened before the Celtic v Rangers Premier Sports Cup final at Hampden Park.

Police confirmed the arrest took place today, Friday, 14 March 2025, and they are set to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.

This brings the total arrests to seven, with six other men—aged between 22 and 38—already charged over the disorder.

Officers are still investigating and urge anyone with information to call 101.
