Seven more arrested following disorder at Celtic's Premiership title celebrations

Officers investigating disorder following Celtic’s Premiership title win have arrested a further seven people.

Six males, aged 17, 18, 33, 35, 43 and 45, and a 28-year-old woman were arrested and charged in connection with offences including assault, possession of an offensive weapon, culpable and reckless conduct and breach of the peace. They are all due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.

These latest charges are part of an ongoing operation into the violence and anti-social behaviour which took place in the Trongate area of Glasgow, on Saturday, 16 May, 2026.

Two officers were seriously injured and three members of the public required hospital treatment.

The total number of arrests relating to incidents on the day is now 50.

Extensive enquiries remain ongoing to identify those responsible for the criminality at Parkhead, as with those involved in disorder in Glasgow’s Trongate area following the game.
