Second man arrested in connection with Sauchiehall St attempted murder in Glasgow

A second man has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder on Sauchiehall Street earlier this month.

The 20-year-old was charged with serious assault and possession of an offensive weapon after an incident in the city centre on Sunday August 2.

The alarm was raised around 1.35 in the early hours of that morning and officers were called out there.

Three men and one woman were taken to The Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

The 20-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, 14 August, 2026.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
