Police renew appeal for help tracing missing man as search steps up

UPDATE: POLICE SAY WILLIAM HAS BEEN FOUND SAFE AND WELL

Police are stepping up the search for missing Glasgow man William Stout who hasn’t been seen since Sunday.

The 63 year old was last seen by his family at home he left to go to a local shop at 930am that morning.

He is described as 5ft 10ins and of stocky build with grey hair. When he was last seen he was wearing a black clothing and a black beanie hat.

William is known to frequent Glasgow city centre, Possilpark, Rutherglen and Kings Park areas.

Inspector Donald Hay said: “Our enquires are ongoing and we continue to review CCTV and carry out door to door enquiries in a bid to trace William but we are appealing for the help of the public.

“As time passes concerns are growing for his welfare and I am appealing to anyone who has seen him or who has any information on his whereabouts to contact us.

“William is known to travel by bus and I would appeal to people to think back, did you notice anyone matching his description?”
