Police investigating man's death in Airdrie
The 30-year-old was pronounced dead at a property on Hamilton Drive last night
One man is dead and another is in hospital following a disturbance in Airdrie.
Emergency crews were called to Hamilton Drive just after midnight last night.
A 30-year-old male had died at the scene and another, aged 27, was taken to Glasgow's Queen Elizabeth where his condition is said to be stable.
Police say officers will remain in the area while enquiries continue.
Detective Inspector Gary Smillie said: “Around 12.15am on Thursday, 18 September, 2025, officers were called to a report of a disturbance on Hamilton Drive, Airdrie.
“Emergency services attended and a 30-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
"A 27-year-old man was conveyed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
“Extensive enquiries into the incident are ongoing and there will remain a police presence in the area at this time.”
