Police appeal to trace missing Greenock man

Police in Greenock are appealing for help as they search for a missing 56 year old man.

Thom Kane was last seen around 7.30am on Thursday 24 April on Eldon Street in Greenock.

Officers believe he may have travelled to Fort William, however could have headed for Oban or Lochgilphead.

He is believed to be driving a silver Volvo V60 Cross Country car, registration GW15 TRY.

The 56 year old is described as being 5ft 10, slim, with short, dark hair, wearing blue jeans, a polo shirt, and a black North Face jacket.

Inspector Ross Wilson, of Greenock Police Station, said: “We are continuing to carry out enquiries to trace Thom and are asking for the public’s help.

“It is out of character for him to be out of contact with his family and friends and we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.

“We would ask anyone who may have seen Thom, his vehicle, or who has information that could assist, to get in touch with us as soon as possible.”
