Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision and report of men with weapons in Glasgow.

Around 12.10am on Saturday, 13 June, 2026, police received a report of a vehicle being deliberately struck by another vehicle while on the off slip from the eastbound M74 at the junction with Polmadie Road.

Three men with weapons, who were travelling in a dark blue Renault Clio, were reported to have approached the silver Nissan Micra and caused damage to the vehicle before it made off.

The Clio then followed the Micra where further deliberate collisions happened on Polmadie Road and Aikenhead Road.

Police were made aware and there were no reports of injuries.

Enquiries are ongoing to trace the Clio and the occupants.

Detective Inspector Stephen Greenshields said: “We believe this was a targeted attack on the Micra driver and I’m appealing to the public for help to trace those responsible.

“I’m particularly keen to speak to drivers who were in the area around the time and may have seen what happened. I’d also ask those with dash-cam, private CCTV or doorbell footage around Polmadie Road and Aikenhead Road, to review this for anything which may assist our enquiries.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 0032 of 13 June. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
