Two men have been arrested and charged after an £800,000 drugs bust in Motherwell yesterday.
Officers carried out searches in two properties on Marmion Crescent after receiving intelligence and they took heroin and cocaine away.
A four figure sum of cash was also found.
The men, aged 54 and 58, are set to appear in court on 27th May 2026.
Sergeant Steven Brown commented on the drug recovery, highlighting it as a clear demonstration of Police Scotland's dedication to combating serious organised crime.
"This is a significant recovery which highlights our ongoing commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country's Serious and Organised Crime Strategy," Sergeant Brown said.
He further urged the community to assist in the fight against drug activities by providing information.
"We rely on information from the public and would encourage anyone with concerns about drug activity in their area to contact Police Scotland on 101 or make a call anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111," he added.
