Bojan Miovski declared himself ready to help fire Rangers towards the title after scoring in back-to-back league games for the first time this season.

The former Aberdeen striker had a major influence in Rangers’ 6-3 win at Falkirk on Sunday after coming on as a half-time substitute.

Miovski hit a double as Rangers turned the game on its head after going two down to a dominant Falkirk side in the first 26 minutes.

The 26-year-old had also come off the bench to score in a 4-2 win over Dundee United the previous weekend and has now taken his William Hill Premiership tally to seven goals this season.

Miovski, who has made more substitute appearances than starts for Rangers, said: “Every player needs to be ready. I came on second half and helped the team.

“I’m always ready. If I start or come on second half or come on five minutes, I’m always ready to give my all. It doesn’t matter how many minutes I play.

“I’m always ready, work hard and wait for my chance. So, when my chance comes, I’m ready to take it.

“Every striker wants to score goals and win titles. So, of course I would like to help the team to win the title.”

Miovski came on for winger Mikey Moore, who had been struggling with a fitness issue in the build-up to the game.

The August signing joined Youssef Chermiti up front and the pair both scored two goals.

Miovski would be keen to keep the partnership going.

“In the previous clubs, I played with two, I played alone,” he said. “So, for me, it doesn’t matter, just to play.

“Of course, it’s helpful when you play with two strikers. It’s like you have someone close to you who can help you. When you play alone, you are more waiting in the box and waiting for the wingers. But it’s up to the coach to choose who wants to start.”

Rangers have now won four consecutive matches and netted 14 goals in three games to put themselves one point behind leaders Hearts going into the split and with a better goal difference than their title rivals.

They are now five goals better off than Hearts and a significant 11 goals ahead of Celtic, who are three points off the top.

Miovski said: “It doesn’t matter how the result is, we always go for a goal. We don’t want to defend or keep the result. We’re at Rangers, we’re a club that wants to dominate and score as much as we can.”
