Man caught with class A drugs in Glasgow flat avoids jail
58-year-old Gordon Findlay was found in possession of cocaine and heroin in June 2023
A man caught with a £30,000 drugs and cash haul in his home avoided jail today.
Gordon Findlay, 58, was snared at the flat in Glasgow's Oatlands on June 14 2023.
Glasgow Sheriff Court heard that police obtained a warrant to search the property.
A quantity of brown powder, a white substance, mobile phones and £3,600 in cash were seized.
Prosecutor Victoria Keel stated that the brown powder was 512.3 grams of heroin with a potential value of £22,273.
The white powder was found to be 80 grams of cocaine valued at £5,000.
Findlay pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and diamorphine.
Sheriff Joan Kerr ordered Findlay to do 225 hours of unpaid work.
He was also tagged for 29 weeks keeping him indoors between 8pm and 7am.
