Man attacked by gang of four in balaclavas in Lesmahagow
The 37 year old victim was taken to hospital with 'significant' injuries
Detectives are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Lesmahagow.
The attack happened at around 8.40pm on Saturday 24 January 2026 in the Boughden Way area of the town.
A 37-year-old man was attacked by four men who were wearing balaclavas.
He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment, where he remains with significant injuries.
Detective Constable David McLaughlin said the incident was serious and officers were keen to hear from anyone who may have seen something unusual that evening.
Police are gathering CCTV from the area and are also asking residents to check private cameras and doorbell footage.
Drivers who were in the area at the time are urged to review dash-cam footage, which could hold vital clues.
