Three in hospital after M77 crash which shut major route overnight
The 19-year-old driver has suffered life-threatening injuries

Three people injured in a serious crash on a stretch of the M77 near Glasgow.
Four ambulances were sent to the scene, and the 19-year-old male driver of the grey Volkswagon Polo involved has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with life threatening injuries.
It happened on the northbound near junction 5 south of Newton Mearns at around 12.10am on Wednesday 23 July.
Two male passengers, aged 17 and 18, were taken to the same hospital for treatment.
The northbound carriageway of the motorway was closed overnight for roughly nine hours, but has now reopened between Junction 5 at Malletsheugh and Junction 6 at Kingswell.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Service said: “We received a call at 00:22 to attend a road traffic collision on the M77.
"We dispatched four ambulances to the scene, and we transported three patients to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
Sergeant Jim Dewar said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone with information that could assist to get in touch.
“If you were driving in the area at the time please check dash-cam footage to see if you have captured anything that may help with our investigation.”
