Police hunt male suspect after 5-year-old girl assaulted at Glasgow Central

It's thought he boarded a train heading for Dalmuir

Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a five-year-old girl was assaulted by an unknown man at Glasgow Central station.

The incident happened at around 4.30pm on Saturday 12 July.

The man is described as white, aged around 30-years-old, around 5ft 8in, of slim build, with dark black messy hair, and was wearing a white T-shirt and dark trousers.

He was accompanied by an elderly woman and is believed to have boarded a train towards Dalmuir.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any information, to come forward and assist the investigation by texting BTP on 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 453 of 12 July.
