A 10-year-old boy from Uddingston is setting himself a fitness challenge most adults couldn't do to help people suffering from Motor Neurone Disease.
Harvey Dooher is running 155 kilometres and doing 3,100 push-ups across the whole of January for the My Name's Doddie Foundation.
He told Clyde 1: "My dad has been telling me how bad the disease is and I want to try to do my part to help find a cure.
"I am lucky to have use of my body and would really like to help others who don't have use of theirs."
Harvey does kickboxing and football and feels that was good preparation for his task which will see him running 5 kilometres and completing 100 push-ups every day this month.
He added: "I know I will have my ups and downs but the sense of achievement at the end is what keeps me going."
Harvey took inspiration from his dad David who climbed Ben Nevis with a 100KG barbell on his back for the charity which was set up by the late rugby legend Doddie Weir who died from the disease.
David said: "He came up with the idea himself and even just a couple of days before it started, I asked him if he was sure because once the word is out there is no going back.
"When I climbed Ben Nevis a couple of years ago, Harvey was only eight but followed me for a good distance with a 10KG barbell on his back.
"He is still at the stage where he is looking forward to getting the challenge done every day, I am super proud of him."
