Detectives are looking for a man they want to speak to in connection with a woman being raped in the city centre of Glasgow yesterday morning,

The attack happened down a lane off Clyde Place around 1am.

He's described as black with dreadlocks and was wearing a black tracksuit and spoke with a London accent.

Detective Inspector Shirley Coyle said: “This was an extremely distressing incident for the victim and it’s imperative we identify and trace the man responsible.

“I would urge anyone with any information to come forward and assist our investigation.

“I’d would ask drivers with dash-cams or residents with private CCTV or doorbell cameras to check your footage and bring anything of significance to our attention.

“There is an increased police presence in the area and reassurance patrols will be carried out.”
