The brother of a missing 33-year-old man from Catrine says Christmas and New Year were a huge struggle without him around the table.

Jason Anderson was last seen on James Taylor Avenue around 22.22pm on Friday December 12 and hasn't spoken to his loved ones since.

The 33-year-old hasn't been seen since Friday December 12.

Frankie told Clyde 1: "He can't go a day without speaking to his family, friends or partner.

"As a family, we were devastated over the festive period and felt guilty that we were celebrating while he was out there somewhere."

Police dive teams have been searching the River Ayr in the village and officers are going to turn their attention to another wooded area next week.

Frankie is planning more search parties with members of the public.

He added: "They've got sniffer dogs but say it could take at least a couple of weeks to search this part of land because it's just so vast.

"I would ask people to think about whether they've seen something suspicious - someone dumping rubbish or anything unusual at a late time of night."
