Air traffic problem affecting Scotland now fixed
But the disruption could continue for the rest of the day.
A technical issue affecting hundreds of flights around Scotland including in Glasgow is now fixed.
But thousands of passengers are being warned to expect delays and cancellations for the rest of the day as things return to normal.
Air traffic control staff at Prestwick say the issue isn't connected to a similar problem which caused major disruption around the UK two weeks ago.
Watty Gaffney is trying to get back to Glasgow from Florida and is currently stuck in Gatwick.
He said: "I've had absolutely no information whatsoever, it is not acceptable.
"There was no information on the screens in the departure lounge for hours but thankfully I am about to board the flight now.
"I had to book into one of the private lounges just to get a seat and something to eat"
The chief exec at Jet2 says customers being let down isn't good enough.
A spokesperson for National Air Traffic Services says "The issue in our Prestwick centre is now fixed. We are working with airports and airlines to safely lift air traffic regulations as quickly as we can to minimise any further disruption
"Passengers should still check the status of their flight with their airline. We apologise for the disruption."
A high number of flights in and out of Glasgow continue to be delayed or cancelled.
A spokesperson said: "A technical issue affecting NATS air traffic control services at the Prestwick Centre is causing disruption to some flight departures and arrivals.
"As a result, some services operating to and from our airports are experiencing delays, primarily at Glasgow Airport, and further disruption is expected due to the knock-on impact across the network.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to passengers.
"This is the second time in as many weeks that a NATS technical issue has had a significant impact on services operating through our airports, and we fully appreciate the frustration this will cause those whose travel plans have been disrupted.
"We advise passengers to check with their airline for the latest flight information before travelling."
