Teenager killed in crash between ambulance and e-scooter near Kilwinning named

A teenager who died after he was hit by an ambulance while riding an e-scooter in North Ayrshire has been named by police as 18-year-old Kendal John Donaldson from Irvine.
The collision happened on the southbound carriageway of the A78 between the Pennyburn Roundabout and the junction with the B779 at Kilwinning at around 2.35am on Monday.
Kendal was pronounced dead at the scene. No one from the ambulance was injured.
