93-year-old dies after being hit by car in Kilmarnock
The road was closed for several hours as police carried out investigations.

A 93-year-old man has died after being hit by a car in Kilmarnock yesterday afternoon.
It happened at around 2.40 on Fowlds Street and involved a pedestrian and a green BMW 525 tds touring.
The man received treatment at the scene and was taken to hospital, but he died the following day, on 20th November.
Fowlds Street was closed to traffic from Wednesday afternoon until 9.30pm to allow officers to carry out investigations.
Police are now asking for anyone who may have seen what happened or has dash cam footage from the area to contact them.
Sergeant Brian Simpson from the Ayrshire Roads Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died as a result of this crash.”
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances, and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash to contact us."
“I would also appeal for anyone who was in the area and has dash cam or private CCTV footage which could assist to get in touch.”
