Man due in court after Stevenston assault
A 34 year old man is due in court later after a serious assault in Stevenston which is being treated as attempted murder. Police say a 56 year old man was attacked late on Tuesday night on Greenhead Avenue. A man was arrested and charged in connection the following day.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.59pm on Tuesday, 28 October, 2025, we were called to a report of a 56-year-old man seriously assaulted in Greenhead Avenue, Stevenston.
“Police and ambulance attended and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.
“A 34-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with this attempted murder. He is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Thursday, 30 October, 2025.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
