Man dies in Ayrshire motorbike crash
A 35 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday
A motorbike rider has died after a crash in Ayrshire on Friday morning.
A red Zontes ZT125 motorcycle collided with a black DAF lorry on the B730 at its junction with the A719 near Fair to Tarbolton, at around 9am on 26 June.
Emergency services attended, but the 35 year old rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
There were no other injuries.
The road was closed for around 10 hours while investigations were carried out, it was reopened at 7pm.
Police appeal
Sergeant Gordon Stewart said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died.
“Our enquiries to establish the full circumstances of this crash are continuing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed what happened to please contact us.
“In addition, anyone with dash-cam footage which may have captured anything relevant is asked to come forward.”
