Cannabis worth nearly £500k seized in Ayr

Officers were acting on intelligence when they made the discovery

Drugs with a street value of around £434,000 have been seized by police in Ayr.

Officers raided a disused building in Boswell Park yesterday morning following a tip off.

Two men, aged 33 and 29, have been arrested and charged in connection.

Detective Sergeant Allan Auld said: “This significant recovery highlights our commitment to disrupting drug-related crime in our communities.

“It also reinforces our ongoing commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious and Organised Crime Strategy.
