Miranda Lambert opens up about her 'Thelma and Louise' partnership with Ella Langley
She spoke to us about their collaborations!
Miranda Lambert is a powerhouse country music superstar - she's got stunning vocal ability, her stage presence is second-to-none AND she's even an incredibly gifted songwriter to boot.
She's lent her writing talents to plenty of big country stars over the years - Luke Combs, Brothers Osborne, Morgan Wallen and Chris Stapleton to name but a few - but has more recently turned her attention to none other than country music darling Ella Langley.
Having long been an admirer of Miranda (who isn't!), Ella was thrilled to work with her on her second album, 'Dandelion', which was released in April 2026 - with ubiquitous album track 'Choosin' Texas' topping not only the UK country chart, but also the mainstream one!

Proving that everything they collectively touch turns to gold, they've released another collaboration in the form of 'Snakeskin Boots' which appeared on Miranda's latest studio album 'Crisco' - both released on 2nd October.
"We wrote that (song) with Ella in mind," Miranda told Elise Evans in an interview with us. "I was in the studio with Ella actually co-producing her album, 'Dandelion'. We just have great chemistry, we're very similar in a lot of ways."
With such a visceral, electric connection between the pair, it's no wonder they felt an instant ignition after meeting at the Broadcast Music, Inc. Awards many years ago, before Ella shot to stardom.
"I thought it would be really cool to have this Thelma and Louise kind of feel, like, 'These two girls are up to something' kind of a vibe," she affirmed, adding that it'd been co-written with her husband Brendan McLoughlin along with her friend and long-time writing partner Natalie Hemby, and producer Jesse Fraser.
"It was definitely with Ella in mind because we just have this like, big sister, little sister chemistry, we put on our a-- kicking boots and y'all better watch out!"
Miranda also spoke about how proud she was of Ella's journey and seeing her shine so brightly, having known her from earlier on in her career: "I'm so proud. I just feel proud to be part of it. I feel I've watched her come into her womanhood over the last few years. I really have seen her step into herself and step into her power. I love just being part of that.
"I get chills talking about it because I'm so thankful to get to have a front row seat to something that is history-making and be part of it. But at the end of the day, just being a friend and being there for each other - it's so important. Like, this industry is not easy, so when you finally find your people, you've got to really stay close."
