Two more arrests following fatal shooting in Southampton
An investigation into 45-year-old Piotr Pruszak's death is continuing
Detectives have arrested two more people in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in Southampton.
Police were called to Conifer Road in the Coxford area at around 8pm on Wednesday 11th February 2026, after receiving reports of a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
Upon arrival, officers found the man with serious injuries and, despite attempts to provide medical assistance, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's been identified as 45-year-old Piotr Pruszak – a Polish national who'd been living in Southampton.
Family members have been informed and are being supported by specialists from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary.
A 31-year-old man from Southampton was initially detained at the scene on suspicion of murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He remains in police custody after officers successfully secured a 24-hour extension to his detention on Saturday, 14th February.
Today, a 57-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were also arrested, suspected of aiding and abetting aggravated burglary.
They remain in custody as police continue their investigation and patrol the area.
