Police thank public for help as search for missing 14-year-old boy in Devon continues

Police urge public not to speculate online amid ongoing enquiries to locate Taylor Charlton

Police are continuing extensive enquiries and searches in Barnstaple today (Sunday 17 May) to help locate missing 14-year-old Taylor Charlton.

Police search specialists will be around the River Taw area.

The public are being thanked for their commitment to helping the search, however they are being reminded not to put themselves at risk. This includes staying away from unsafe buildings and not going near the water or river banks.

Anyone with information, including any sightings of Taylor, is urged to contact Devon and Cornwall Police immediately.

Officers are continuing to review all information received and will pursue all avenues of enquiry.

Taylor was last seen at around 10.40pm on Friday 8 May near Tesco in the Seven Brethren area. He was reported missing during the early evening of Saturday 9 May.

Taylor is around 5ft 8ins tall, of muscular build, with dark brown hair and a moustache. He was last seen wearing a bright blue fitted top, jeans and bright blue Nike shoes.
