Man dies in fatal motorcycle collision on M6 toll road as appeal launched

A man has died following a fatal collision on the M6 toll road in Staffordshire, police have said.
Officers were alerted to an incident taking place on the M6 at Junction 6 near Burntwood at 5:30pm on Friday afternoon (May 30th).
In the incident, a Ducati motorcycle - believed to be red, black and silver - had been travelling southbound on the carriageway when he came off the bike.
Emergency services, including the West Midlands Ambulance Service, were called to the area to deliver medical treatment.
On top of this, other motorists had pulled aside to help the 35-year-old driver while officers rushed to the scene.
However, in a statement, Staffordshire Police confirmed that despite the best efforts of the public and the emergency services, the 35-year-old man died at the scene.
Officers are now appealing for information, urging anyone who had been travelling on the M6 southbound to get in touch with anything that could help investigators.
