England have beaten DR Congo 2-1 to make it through to the next round of the World Cup.

It wasn't a straightforward match for the Three Lions, Thomas Tuchel’s side were second-best for the first 20 minutes and some woeful defensive organisation allowed Brian Cipenga to score in just the seventh minute.

The goal sparked England into life, but they found goalkeeper Lionel Mpasi in inspired form.

Two second half goals from Harry Kane secured the win though, putting England through to the last 16.

England will now play Mexico at the Azteca at 1am Monday morning.
