12-year-old boy injured in Basingstoke e-scooter crash

A 12-year-old boy has been injured following an e-scooter crash in Basingstoke.

Between 2pm and 3.30pm yesterday, an unknown male riding an e-scooter on Landseer Close was been involved in a collision with the 12-year-old pedestrian.

The boy suffered a serious leg injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The e-scooter rider, described as aged in his late teens and wearing a grey hoodie and a black face covering, did not stop at the scene.

Hampshire Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, also with relevant dash cam or CCTV footage showing the direction of travel of the e-scooter rider after the collision.
