A 69-year-old man has died following a crash on Johnston Avenue
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 69-year-old man died following a crash in Dundee.
The collision happened on Johnston Avenue, between Strathmore Street and Clepington Road, at around 8.10am on Friday, 11 September.
The man was driving a silver Hyundai IX35 and was taken to hospital after emergency services attended. He was later pronounced dead.
A 63-year-old woman who was travelling as a passenger was also taken to hospital to be checked over.
The road was closed while officers carried out a crash investigation before reopening at around 12.15pm.
Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “Our thoughts are with the family of the man who died and they have asked for privacy at what is a very difficult time for them.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing to anyone who saw what happened and has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.
“If you were driving in the area at the time please also check any dash-cam footage and contact us if something that could assist with our investigation has been captured.”
