Man in critical condition after A92 crash between motorbike and bus

Police are appealing for information after the collision on Friday night

A motorbike rider is in a serious condition in hospital after a crash on the A92 near Abroath.

The 37 year old was taken to Ninewells Hospital after the collision between his blue Yamaha motorcycle and a double decker bus.

Emergency services were called to the road between Arbroath and Inverkeilor at the junctions for Cauldcots at around 9pm on Friday 29 May.

The road was closed for around 8 hours and reopened at 5am on Saturday 30 May.

Police appeal

Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and may have dash cam footage which could assist to contact us.”
