A female biker's fighting for life after a crash in Angus.

The 61-year-old was riding a Yamaha around 3pm yesterday on the B9128 near the village of Craichie when she was hit by a Volkswagen Bora.

The motorcyclist was rushed to Ninewells Hospital where she remains in a critical condition.

The road was closed for recovery and investigation until 11.45pm. Enquiries to establish the full circumstances remain ongoing.

Sergeant Brian McEwen said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash, or has any information, to please come forward. We are particularly keen to speak with any motorists who may have dash-cam footage from the area around the time of the crash.

“If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2095 of 24 April.”
