Elderly man dies in Blairgowrie crash as police seek witnesses

The 79-year-old was driving a Citroen in collision with a Kia

An elderly man has died after a two-car crash in Perth and Kinross yesterday.

Police received a report of the crash on Blairgowrie'sBrown Street just before 2pm.

Emergency services attended and the 79-year-old driver of the Green Citroen C4 was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, a white Kia Ceed, was uninjured.

Sergeant Iain Macnamara, Road Policing North, said “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died in this crash.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what occurred and I am appealing to anyone who has information to come forward. If anyone saw the Green Citroen C4 in the area around the time of the collision, please contact us.”
