Tay FM listener Kimberly bags £780,000 on Make Me A Winner!
It turned into a seriously unforgettable night in for Kimberly.
A Tay FM listener from St Andrews has scooped an incredible £780,000 – and the shock still hasn’t quite worn off. Kimberly, who moved to Scotland from Canada with her husband Curt, was left completely overwhelmed when she realised she’d won.
“I honestly didn’t think it was real,” Kimberly said.
Kimberly hasn’t been back home to Canada for a while, although her parents were recently over visiting. Now, thanks to her huge win, she says she’ll finally be able to travel back more often and spend precious time with family overseas.
Speaking after the moment, Kimberly admitted she could hardly believe it, describing herself as stunned and emotional as the news began to sink in.

A night in turned into something much bigger
The win came just as Kimberly was planning a relaxed girls’ night in – but those plans quickly got a serious upgrade, with some celebratory Waitrose nibbles firmly on the menu.
While she’s still processing everything, Kimberly already has a few plans in mind for the life-changing cash.
Big plans for the future
At the top of the list is paying off the mortgage – a huge weight lifted overnight for her and her husband. And of course, there’s plenty of excitement about being able to visit Canada more often.
“I was completely overwhelmed,” she said.
Kimberly may have been lost for words at first – but something tells us the celebrations are only just getting started.
A life-changing moment on Tay FM
Listeners across Tayside are celebrating one of our biggest ever wins, and couldn’t be happier for Kimberly as she takes it all in.
What could you do with £780,000?
The Old Course Hotel
Live like a king! The spectacular Old Course Hotel overlooks the world’s most famous golf course. To book a stay in a King Suite at the Old Course Hotel, it would set you back £1065 (price based on May 2026) a night for two people, but don’t worry, with your MMAW winnings Kimberly could stay there for 732 nights… That’s over two years!
Putting
At the home of golf, you could play a round of putting at the St Andrews Ladies Putting Club, also known as The Himalayas.
At only £4 a round you could play 195,000 rounds. So if you were to play every day consecutively then it would take you over 534 years to use up all your cash!
Ice Cream (well actually gelato)
The legendary Jannettas Gelateria has been trading in the same building for 118 years and five generations.
How about a 1 litre tub of their delicious Vanilla Gelato at £11 each – that’s 70,909 tubs… With a population of approx. 16,000 you could give every person in St Andrews 4 tubs each and still have some left for yourself!
St Andrews Aquarium
Fancy a trip to the St Andrews Aquarium with a few friends? Adults are £17 each for a day pass, so why not pop along with 45,882 of your mates?
The Peat Inn
Fancy eating at your very own local Michelin star restaurant – The Peat Inn. A stunning 4 course dinner will set you back £110 and with approx. 50 covers, if you would like to book the whole place out, it would cost £5,500, so you could do that141 times if you like their food!
