Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging is being turned into a TV series
The movie arrived in 2008
Believe it or not, it's somehow been nearly 20 years since we were introduced to Georgia (Georgia Groome), Robbie (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), and Jas (Eleanor Tomlinson), in hit 2008 movie Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging.
Despite never getting a sequel movie to Louise Rennison's multi-million selling novel, it looks like it's about to be turned into a TV series by a 'major streaming platform'.
Although the platform is currently unknown, a casting call appeared on social media over the weekend, alongside the words: 'Casting call for a major streaming platform pilot: Angus, thongs and full-frontal snogging'.
It continued: 'TV series pilot based on the worldwide multimillion selling book series: The Confessions of Georgia Nicolson.
'Rachel Sheridan Casting is searching for various female and male roles for the series'. (sic)
Although the advert went on to explain that applicants must be based in the UK and be able to look/play 15 and 16-year-olds, there's now been another update due to huge demand.
In a separate post on Monday 6th July, Rachel Sheridan Casting explained: 'PLEASE NOTE THIS CASTING CALL HAS BEEN CLOSED EARLIER THAN PLANNED. DUE TO THE HUGE RESPONSE WE HAVE ALREADY HIT OUR MAXIMUM NUMBER FOR SUBMISSIONS.
'WE CAN NO LONGER RECEIVE SUBMISSIONS FOR THIS CASTING CALL.📣'. (sic)
Is Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging being turned into a TV show?
Yes! After late author Louise Rennison created 10 Confessions of Georgia Nicolson novels, released between 1999 and 2009, the first novel, titled Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging, is now being adapted for TV.
When is it out?
There's no word on when the TV adaptation will land, but with the show only in early casting in July 2026, we imagine it could be a while yet!
What channel is it on?
It's not yet know which channel Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging will air on, but we do know it's been picked up by a 'major streaming platform'.
Who is in the cast?
The cast hasn't yet been announced.
