Three children taken to hospital after being hit by car in West Belfast

Three children have been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in West Belfast.

It happened shortly before 5pm yesterday (Sun) at Black Ridge View.

Police say the two girls and a boy were playing on the pavement when the vehicle reversed and struck them.

A 37 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol in breath, causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop, failing to report and failing to remain where an accident occurred causing injury.

Police are asking any witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam or CCTV footage that could help their investigation, to get in touch.
