The Dead Daisies announce new singer and March 2027 UK shows
A new era for the band
Last updated 5th Oct 2026
The Dead Daisies have recruited former Foreigner singer Kelly Hansen as their new frontman.
Following in the footsteps of Jon Stevens, John Corabi and Glenn Hughes, Kelly Hansen is the fourth permanent vocalist to front David Lowy’s rock supergroup.
Hansen, who quit Foreigner in October 2025, said of his new gig: “When I left Foreigner after 20 great years, I told everybody I wasn‘t ‘retiring’ just moving on to other things.
“This project gives me the opportunity to stretch out with some new melodies, a new vibe and fresh energy. We‘re gonna rock it!”
The Dead Daisies also features longtime guitarist Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake/Dio), powerhouse drummer Tommy Clufetos (Black Sabbath/Ozzy Osbourne) and new bassist Jimi Crutchley (The Quireboys) alongside lynchpin and rhythm guitarist David Lowy.
Kicking off the latest era of The Dead Daisies, the band have premiered the new song ‘Lift Me Up’ – the first taste of their next album - and they've announced a series of 2027 live shows.

David Lowy says: “We’re fired up about the direction The Daisies is taking. Kelly has slotted in and it just feels right. We’ve got a killer record taking shape and looking forward to a big year of touring ahead. Bring on 2027!”
Doug Aldrich adds of the band’s latest single: “’Lift Me Up’ started off as a dead simple guitar riff and heavy groove….as the song progressed the melody just grew from there. It‘s very melodic and the lyric reflects positively and a vibe to lift us up in these crazy times.
“We’re working on more cool music for the album right now and I’m excited about where it’s heading. It’s also gonna be amazing to be onstage with Kelly again after all these years! His vocal range is exceptional and he’s a badass frontman. Can’t wait to get out there and see you all in 2027!!”
