Esteemed British rock n’ roll photographer Ross Halfin is releasing a 240-page book celebrating the career of UFO bassist Pete Way, who sadly died aged 69 in August.
Entitled Pete Way by Ross Halfin, the book is being released via Rufus Publications and boasts a plethora of classic and unseen images of Pete Way taken by Ross Halfin.
Alongside the stunning images, there are a series of exclusive new interviews with Pete Way’s former UFO band mates Phil Mogg, Andy Parker, Neil Carter and Michael Schenker.
Other rock legends interviewed for the book include Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica's Kirk Hammett, Def Leppard’s Phil Collen, Joe Elliott and Rick Savage, Rush’s Geddy Lee, Guns N’ Roses’ Slash, Iron Maiden’s Steve Harris, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen and LA Guns’ Phil Lewis.
All the interviews have been compiled by esteemed journalist Mark Blake.
Ross Halfin comments: “Of all the people I’ve known over the years Pete could be the funniest and also the most infuriating person. Of all the recent musicians to leave the stage, Pete’s exit hit me the hardest so I wanted to do this book in his honour with the people that really knew him also sharing their memories.
“The idea of this book is really to celebrate a friend of mine and for all his faults he was a very funny person and someone I always considered a true friend.”

Pete Way died on 14th August 2020 after suffering “life threatening injuries” in an accident earlier this summer.
