Ozzy The Bull gets makeover on 1st anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne's death

As part of Ozzy Day marking the first anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne’s death, Ozzy The Bull in Birmingham New Street station is wearing a pair of The Prince of Darkness’ trademark round glasses.
Visitors can capture memories with complimentary Polaroid photos alongside Ozzy The Bull from 11am to 2pm and 3pm to 6pm today (22nd July).
The 33ft (10m) mechanical bull, which featured the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony at Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium back in August 2022, was named ‘Ozzy’ back in 2023 following a fan poll.
Ozzy The Bull’s makeover is just one of the city-wide commemorations in Birmingham for Ozzy Day.
The celebrations also include live music, special performances, and tributes, reflecting the legacy of the Aston-born musician.
Organised by Central BID and OPUS (Outdoor Places Unusual Spaces) in partnership with Birmingham City Council, Birmingham New Street, and Westside BID, the event seeks to transform the city centre into a living tribute to Ozzy's illustrious career.
Visitors can explore sites that played a crucial role in Ozzy's life, including the Black Sabbath Bench and Bridge, Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery, Birmingham New Street Station, Bullring, Selfridges, and Martineau Place.

A series of pop-up performances by Bostin Brass, a five-member brass band known for their renditions of Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath songs, will be featured throughout the day.
The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) will deliver a special performance at Bullring at 12:15 pm.
