Ozzy Osbourne exhibition to close after attracting over 800,000 visitors
It finishes on 27th September
The Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero exhibition at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery will close later this month after attracting more than 800,000 visitors since its launch in June 2025.
Charting Ozzy's journey from a working-class upbringing in Aston to international superstardom with Black Sabbath and as a solo artist, Ozzy Osbourne: Working Class Hero has been extended twice since opening due to huge public demand.
The free exhibition finally closes on Sunday 27th September, so fans have just over three weeks to go and see it.
Displays include personal memorabilia, photography and videos alongside some of Ozzy’s most prestigious honours, including Grammy Awards, Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame accolades, MTV awards, Hollywood Walk Of Fame and Birmingham Walk Of Stars honours, as well as a selection of his platinum and gold discs.
To mark the first anniversary of Ozzy Osbourne’s untimely death in July 2026, the gothic bat throne Ozzy used for his farewell Back to the Beginning Concert at Villa Park was added to the exhibition.
Zak Mensah and Sara Wajid, co-chief executives of Birmingham Museums Trust, said: "The extraordinary response to the exhibition reflects the deep affection felt for Ozzy in his home city and around the world.
"The recent addition of the throne with its distinctive bat-wing motifs has given fans another opportunity to connect with his story and his final performance in Birmingham. It has become an enduring symbol of Ozzy's final performance in his home city and provides a poignant centrepiece.
"With the exhibition finally closing on 27th September, we would like to encourage anyone who has not yet visited, as well as those who want to see it again, to make the most of these final weeks."
